Applicants must be registered charities operating in England, Scotland or Wales and must own the property where the project will take place or hold a lease with at least three years remaining. Charities are also required to have submitted at least one set of accounts to the relevant charity regulator. Priority is often given to smaller charities, organisations working in more deprived communities and projects that demonstrate a lasting impact for local people.
